Shilajit.uk is an independent UK website that explains what shilajit is and what the research really shows. It sells nothing, takes no money from brands and runs no ads, so it can say plainly when a popular claim isn't backed by evidence.
Why this site exists
Most of what you find when you search for shilajit is written by companies that sell it. Their articles tend to list a dozen benefits without saying how strong the evidence is for each one. Much of the rest is written for readers in India or the US, with prices, rules and retailers that don’t apply in the UK.
Shilajit.uk aims to be the page you’d want a knowledgeable friend to send you: clear about what’s known, honest about what isn’t, and specific to buying and using shilajit in the UK.
How we stay independent
- We don’t sell shilajit or any other supplement.
- We don’t accept payment, free products or sponsorship from brands in exchange for coverage.
- We don’t run advertising.
If that ever changes, we’ll say so clearly on this page and on every page it affects.
Who runs it
Shilajit.uk is edited by Sam Rowan, a pen name. Sam isn’t medically qualified, which is why every claim is cited and graded. More about Sam.
How we work
Every page is written from primary research, mostly peer-reviewed human studies, and each health claim carries an evidence grade. Read our editorial policy for the details, including how we correct mistakes.
